Thankfully, technology has come far and made many improvements to the efficiency of WTGs, and whilst they do still make a little noise, chances are you’ll hardly notice the noise produced. Wind turbine generators, like any generators, produce noise as they work. Still, with the offset to your electricity bills, and the potential to make back money on government schemes, maintenance of these types of WTGs may still fall short of the cost of regular grid electricity. These brushes are fragile, and are prone to degradation, meaning that your WTG may well require regular (and potentially expensive) maintenance.
